We have a vacancy for circus artists to perform in Turks and Caicos Islands and live on one of the world’s most beautiful beaches for 6 months.

Rehearsals: May 22 – July 16, 2017 in Canada
On-Site Rehearsals: July 17 – July 31, 2017 in Turks and Caicos Islands
Shows Open: August 1, 2017 – January 31, 2018 (6 Months) in Turks and Caicos Islands

All candidates must be available for the full duration of the contract.
All candidates must have a valid passport to travel internationally.
All candidates must be 18+.
Professional Circus Training (or equivalent level if self-taught)

Minimum of 2 different acts (Ground, Aerial, Comedy, etc.)
Must have your own acts and equipment
Casting male and female artists
Ability to work as part of a team
Working proficiency in English is a must

Terms and Conditions:

Rehearsal Period in Canada:
Dates: May 22 – July 16 (8 weeks)

Fee:
Performers will be paid CAD$1,500/month for the rehearsals in Toronto.

In addition to the fee above, the Client will provide:
– economy flight (round trip) between residence airport and Canada;
– luggage fees for up to 2 checked bags with personal items and any checked bags with performing equipment;
– accommodation in Canada (shared rooms)

During the rehearsal period, selected candidates must be available for all photo shoots, video shoots, meetings and any promotional events, inclusive in the performers rehearsal fee.

Rehearsals in Turks and Caicos Islands:
Dates: July 17-31 (2 weeks)

Fee:
Performers will be paid CAD$750 total for the rehearsal period for 2 weeks in Turks and Caicos.

In addition to the fee above, the Client will provide:
– economy flight (round trip) between Canada and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands;
– luggage fees for up to 2 checked bags with personal items and any checked bags with performing equipment;
– airport transfer in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands;
– accommodation on site, in double rooms, equipped for staff necessities;
– 3 meals per day;
– beach access;
– staff pool access.

During the rehearsal period, selected candidates must be available for all photo shoots, video shoots, meetings and any promotional events while in Turks and Caicos, inclusive in the performers rehearsal fee.

Performances in Turks and Caicos Islands:
Dates: Aug 1, 2017 – Jan 31, 2018 (6 months)

Performance schedule:
5 working days (Performing 4 days a week and participating 1 day in a parade).
Shows: All ages musical theatre productions (duration 50 min each)
Parade: Weekly event with all artists walking through the resort grounds (duration 35 min)

Venue: outdoor stage

Fee:
Salary will be paid monthly for 6 months of performance and will be determined based on skill set and role of the performer in the productions.

In addition to the fee above, the Client will provide:
– accommodation on site, in double-rooms, equipped for staff necessities;
– 3 meals per day;
– beach access;
– staff pool access.

Additionally performers must take part in any promotional activities and social events for travel agents as requested by the resort (non-performance), inclusive in the performance fee.

Insurance:

Canada:
Performers must obtain their own travel insurance for rehearsal period in Canada at their own expense.

Turks and Caicos Islands:
A health insurance plan will be provided and the cost will be split amongst 3 parties: the resort, the Client and the performer. Each party will contribute to the insurance plan monthly in the following breakdown: US$170/month divided between the resort (US$44.43/month), the Client (US$56.67/month) and Performer (US$68.90/month, deducted from monthly salary).

Visas/Work permits:
Canada:
Producer covers the fee of a visa application or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTa) to rehearse in Canada (depending on country of residence).
Performer provides at their own expense all required documentation to obtain a Canadian Visa, if required (exact requirements vary based on country of residence).

Turks and Caicos Islands:
The Client covers the fee of a work permit application and handles the process to attain work permit for Turks and Caicos Islands.
